Privacy Policy

When you use Dosy Health, you may provide the following health information:

• Meals, calories, and nutritional data
• Body weight measurements
• Medication dosages and injection tracking (for GLP-1 medications)
• Side effects and symptoms
• Progress photos
• Health goals and preferences

We do not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email, or account credentials. No user accounts are required to use Dosy Health.

The following features send data to Anthropic's Claude API for processing:

AI Meal Tracking (Photo)

• When you log meals via photo, the image is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to identify food items and estimate nutritional information (calories, protein, carbs, fat)
• Only the food photo is sent for analysis
• The AI service does not store your photos permanently - all inputs and outputs are automatically deleted within 30 days per Anthropic's data retention policy
• Your photos are never used to train AI models

AI Meal Tracking (Voice)

• Voice input is first processed locally using platform speech recognition (Apple Speech Recognition on iOS, Google Speech Recognition on Android)
• The transcribed text is then sent to Anthropic's Claude API for food identification and nutritional estimation
• Only the voice transcription (text) is sent for analysis, not audio recordings
• Same 30-day retention and no-training policy applies

AI Data Import Processing

• When you use the "Import Data" feature, your uploaded file (CSV, JSON, or Text) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to parse and convert the data for import into your Dosy Health account
• Only the file contents are sent for processing
• The AI service does not store user data permanently - all inputs and outputs are automatically deleted within 30 days per Anthropic's data retention policy
• User data is never used to train AI models

AI Progress Insights

• Dosy Health uses AI to generate personalized progress insights based on your health data (weight trends, nutrition patterns, medication adherence)
• This data is processed via Anthropic's Claude API to provide meaningful, personalized feedback
• Same 30-day retention and no-training policy applies

Ask Dosy AI Coach

• Ask Dosy is a friendly chat coach that helps you with your GLP-1 journey. To give you personalized advice, a few numbers from your tracking data are shared with Anthropic's Claude API, such as your current weight, weight change, goal weight, last dose, dose cadence, vial inventory, recent side effects, today's nutrition totals, and your daily calorie and macro targets
• Rest assured, nothing that identifies you is ever sent. Your name, email, birth date, location, and progress photos all stay private
• Your conversations are not stored on our servers and are never used to train AI models
• You can clear your chat history at any time from within the Ask Dosy screen
• Same 30-day retention and no-training policy applies

Dosy Health's AI features are powered by Anthropic (anthropic.com), a third-party AI service provider. Important information about Anthropic's data handling:

• Data Retention: Anthropic's data retention period is 30 days for API inputs and outputs. All data sent to Anthropic is automatically deleted within 30 days.
• No AI Training: Anthropic does NOT use API customer data for model training. Your data is never used to improve or train AI models.

With your explicit permission, Dosy Health integrates with your device's health platform:

iOS - Apple Health (HealthKit)

• Read Access: Dosy Health can read weight data and nutritional data (calories, protein, carbs, fat) from Apple Health
• Write Access: Dosy Health can write your tracked weight and nutritional data back to Apple Health
• Display: Nutritional data from Apple Health may be imported and displayed as "Ext from Apple Health" within the app
• No Third-Party Sharing: Dosy Health does NOT sell, share, or transfer Apple Health data to third parties for advertising, marketing, or any other purpose
• Local Storage: Apple Health data is stored locally on your device and synced only to your private iCloud account (if iCloud sync is enabled)
• Permissions: This integration is optional and can be enabled/disabled at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health

Android - Health Connect

• Read Access: Dosy Health can read weight data and nutritional data (calories, protein) from Health Connect
• Write Access: Dosy Health can write your tracked weight and nutritional data back to Health Connect
• Display: Nutritional data from Health Connect may be imported and displayed within the app
• No Third-Party Sharing: Dosy Health does NOT sell, share, or transfer Health Connect data to third parties for advertising, marketing, or any other purpose
• Permissions: This integration is optional and can be enabled/disabled at any time in Android Settings > Health Connect

• Voice input uses platform speech recognition (Apple Speech Recognition on iOS, Google Speech Recognition on Android)
• Audio is transcribed on-device and audio recordings are NOT stored
• The transcription (text only) may be sent to Anthropic's Claude API for food analysis
• Platform privacy standards apply to speech recognition

iOS - iCloud (CloudKit)

• If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple CloudKit
• Your iCloud data is encrypted and accessible only to you
• We do not have access to your iCloud data
• Apple's privacy standards and encryption apply
• You can disable iCloud sync at any time in iOS Settings

Android - Firebase

• Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase Firestore, linked to your Google account
• Your Firebase data is encrypted in transit and at rest
• Data is scoped to your authenticated account and not accessible by other users
• Google's security standards and encryption apply
• You can sign out or delete your data at any time within the app

All data is stored locally on your device:

• iOS: Data is stored using Apple's SwiftData framework
• Android: Data is stored in the app's private storage area
• Device-level encryption protects your data through platform security features
• Deleting the app removes all local data from your device

If you choose to take progress photos:

• Photos are captured using your device camera
• Photos are stored locally on your device
• Photos sync to your private cloud account (iCloud on iOS, Firebase on Android) if sync is enabled
• Progress photos are NOT sent to external servers for analysis
• You can delete photos at any time within the app

The only third-party services that process your data are:

• Anthropic: For AI-powered features (meal tracking, data import, progress insights). Data automatically deleted within 30 days, never used for training.
• Apple (iOS): For iCloud sync, HealthKit, and Speech Recognition (Apple's privacy standards apply)
• Google (Android): For Firebase cloud sync, Health Connect, and Speech Recognition (Google's privacy standards apply)
• FatSecret: For food database lookups (no personal data sent)

If you subscribe to Dosy Health Pro:

• iOS: Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. Subscription management is handled through your Apple ID.
• Android: Payment is processed by Google through Google Play. Subscription management is handled through your Google account.
• We do not collect or store payment information on either platform

You can delete your data at any time by:

• Deleting individual items within the app
• Uninstalling the app (removes all local data)
• iOS: Disabling iCloud sync and deleting from iCloud settings
• Android: Using the "Delete All Data" option in Settings, or signing out of your account

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• Device-level encryption through platform security features (iOS and Android)
• Cloud data encrypted in transit and at rest (iCloud and Firebase)
• AI API calls encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
• No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs

Dosy Health is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be communicated through the app or app store updates. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of any changes.
